Commentary
In this passage of Scripture as we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts and lives and are Born-Again, the Lord God Almighty by and through the Holy Spirit, in accordance to the “Word of God”, in the name of Jesus, begins to transform us into the image and likeness of Himself and of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Part of this transformation is instant when we confess the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and except Him into our hearts and lives, but this is just that act of salvation. Where the work of the Holy Spirit begins to build us and form us over a process of time, like a potter creating a vessel on a wheel, or as a black smith hammers a sword into a usable weapon with the use of a fiery forge, an anvil, and hammer, or as a gold smith refines the dross out of gold and silver.
Where each process is done over time and if the material that is being molded, hammered, or refined was able to speak would testify that being molded, hammered, or refined in a fiery furnace was not especially a process that was easy or that felt good.
But the end result being the mud turned into a vessel that is usable and/or is displayed on a shelf where those who pass by it often times admire it or desire to have one for themselves. Or the sword after it is taken from the ore of the ground and is processed into a usable weapon that over time and history has been the element that men has changed the course of history and has overthrown nations and kingdoms with. And the gold also taken from the ore of the earth, after it has been refined in the furnace, is one of the most desired an sought after minerals I the entire world, where it has never lost its value or will never rust regardless of what kind of elements it is exposed to, where the gold smith knows that it is refined to it perfection is when he can see his own image in it after he fires it and looks into it.
Where many Born-Again Christians become dismayed and lose their heart to serve God after they are saved because they begin to experience hardship and may even suffer the loss of things and loved ones. But through these experiences and times of hardship is when the Lord is molding, hammering, or refining us into the image and nature of His Son, Jesus Christ.
And when this process this metamorphose is complete to the point that we as usable to the Master of the Universe, to the Lord God Almighty, then His blessing's, His provision's, and His power and might will be made manifest to us and though us, mightily...!!!
Although we will continue to experience obstacles and adversities throughout life, we will come to know that, as He is, so are we in this present world, and as we submit to His perfect will, purpose, and plan that He (God) has for our lives, He will show Himself strong in our behalf, where we by and through the Spirit God will do the works and even the greater works of God, as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ had said.
Therefore, as hard as it is when we are one the potter's wheel, or are being hammered and forged by the black smith, or are being refined in the fiery furnace, look up and give Him great praise and glory for this is only the process that God is bringing us through that we may be used for His eternal purpose and glory. Amen and Amen....!!!
That we may be that living sacrifice, and prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God”, where God our God will be glorified by and through our lives....!
